Steph's Doing What Now?

I'm at a crossroads in my young adult life

and I want to try something new.

I'm a mom, a low-key music producer, photographer and videographer...

I also have a Full-Time job working the graveyard shift as a telecommunications operator.
I try to incorporate EVERYTHING into my life that I want to do so there is never a dull moment. I went back to college, got my degree, produced and directed a music video, even wrote a few songs...all because I wanted to. Why should celebrities have all the fun and not the "other" brilliant minds in the world? Did I mention that I am THE ULTIMATE foodie? All these years of doing things, and trying things and I thought one day...How do I fit food in here? I mean I love food. No, I really Love food... More than anyone else? Probably.

I was told by my trusty co worker Isabelle that I have been deprived in my childhood. (Her words not mine). I have missed out on a lot of good things in the food world. I come from a mom who is a discretionary eater (i.e picky or P.E.) certain smells, textures, and consistencies don't sit well with her, therefore we were not privy to trying some things. I now have a (P.E.) discretionary eater of my own, age 5, and when I tell you she gives me a run for my money when it comes to trying new things...However the persistent mum that I am, I decided to try new things as well as revisit classic family recipes to see what Journey (my P.E.) is willing to indulge in. So every Sunday, during my morning downtime, I am going to blog about my food experiences that took place during the week. I decided to blog about it to keep tabs on my own personal journey. Always looking for a positive outcome....

Feel free to join in and suggest things.
Peace and Possibilities,
XOXO, Steph

My Love For The Cosi Signature Salad

If you’ve ever had the pleasure of having a Cosi Signature salad, then I'm sure you will agree with me, as it is my favorite salad with a dressing you can drink. (kidding) I miss living in the big city so I have to improvise. And with a huge thanks to  The Brown Eyed Baker  ,  I was able to recreate it down to that awesome drinkable dressing.  This is the first salad I’ve eaten with fruit in it. It has pistachios, red grapes, gorgonzola cheese, pears, and dried cranberries. I added leftover cooked chicken because I was starving and I didn’t want to be hungry later. My hubby sliced up a boiled egg in his. No egg for me. I had one already this afternoon. The chicken was a great companion to the fresh fruit.                                         *Note: The Original Cosi salad does not have chicken or eggs.             ...
